We will emphasize Individual and Team Fundamentals and discuss WHAT and HOW to teach the kids. In addition to information on Offense, Defense and Transition basketball at the youth level, our e-zine will discuss the importance of pre-game warm ups, bench posture, how to score first in the game, jump ball alignment, time out procedure, free-throw alignment, and referee respect and protocol. We will talk about how to prepare your youth team with limited practice time and what priorities to set for teaching the game. Sometimes it is hard to do, but as coaches we need to focus on TEACHING each kid, each week, and NOT worry so much about preparing the team for that game on Saturday.
